Thursday August 19th @ 4pm-5pm CST
Many of us have been exposed to messages around the need to “be more resilient” in the workplace … but what if we were encouraged to take time for ourselves and heal? What if we could do this without the added financial stress? What if we could do this without fear of retaliation or pushback or without having to explain to our manager why we need time off?
You have choices and we’d like to share with you how you can choose you over the demands of capitalism.
Join Vivianne Castillo, Founder of HmntyCntrd, and Jasmine Powers, the CEO of join the citizens and professional with a background in employment law, PeopleOps and communications, for a practical and honest conversation on Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, the realities and misconceptions of taking short-term disability leave, what gets in the way of healing from difficult workplace experiences and its demands, insights into your rights and protections under U.S. law, who you need on your self-care and healing team, and more.
Here’s to choosing courage over comfort.
Here’s to choosing you.
